Europe has been suffering from the devastating consequences of the natural disasters while increased exposure is expected in the coming years. An efficient, inclusive, and sustainable disaster management, embracing spatial planning and design implementations plays a critical role to tackle this problem and create sustainable and resilient communities. Nevertheless, the significance of these disciplines and practices in disaster management are mostly overlooked and there is a significant gap in the education and training of planners and designers in this field. From this aspect, targeting a collaboration between beneficiaries and partners including NGOs, universities, public and private sector organizations, the project places a greater emphasis on ecological planning and design (EPD) as a key factor in the development of sustainable and resilient urban environments. The project aims to increase the awareness and employability of the ecological planning and design practice in disaster management through the creation of an AI-based innovative and adaptive smart training modulee combined with a learning network. The primary objectives can be outlined as follows: -Develop a smart training module for EPD in disaster management with a focus on deep technological domains and the integration of green, digital, and resilience skills -Contribute to meeting the need for qualified human resources in the physical planning and design processes in disaster management and to equip them with contemporary climate and environmental sensitivities -Improve the capacity for exchanging the experiences, knowledge, learning and teaching methodsfor creating a transnational collaboration culture among academia, professional organizations, NGOs, and business sector -Support the development of in-depth tech skills and use of deep tech in EPD for disaster management This project outputs are designed to support the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant training programs.
