 In 1998, a prototype waterjet cutting system was designed and manufactured for the 1400 bar operating pressure at the Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Çukurova. Even though the developed system operates successfully up to the 1400 bar operating pressure, the design of the intensifier has been found to be lacking certain features such as maintainability, assemblability, etc. and it has been designed for 1400 bar which is not suitable for hard material cutting or commercial cutting applications. This study aims to raise the operating pressure of the intensifier and its related parts from 1400 bars to 3000 bars and eliminate the design and assembly problems of the current system using applicable redesign techniques.
